The ‘Geeks’ have many years of professional skills and experience in the following areas and have offered to give their advice, waiving their usual fees for the the prototype event on Friday 27th Feb 2009.

The Panel:

  • Dominic works with major global brands to increase Google rankings and boost visits for key topic areas

Paul R

  • Funding strategies, approaching technology from a business perspective, internet strategy
  • Paul works with large companies and government departments to help them benefit from technology deployments and technology best practice.

Richard S

  • Non profits and the internet
  • Richard works full time in helping non profits and educational organisations use technology and the internet in more effective ways, and brings considerable expertise and insight from across these sectors.

Simon W

  • Using open source software for (non) profit
  • Simon works with large companies and government departments, developing collaboration and social media applications on Open Source platforms

Steve R

  • How to build effective online communities
  • Steve works with major educational and private sector organisations to develop successful online communities

Tom S

  • Strategies for using Facebook, Twitter and other Social Media
  • Tom helps companies and charities use social media on the web to further their organisation’s goals. Tom has recently written a social media strategy paper for a major UK charity, which event attendees will be able to access.

Moderator:

Guy D

  • Guy works with large companies deploying collaboration platforms and providing strategic advice on using using internet and social media best practice within organisations.
